Belmont House
Sketch #29 / Book #1 (2020)
Sketched in my original portrait notebook in the autumn of 2020, it was captured at Belmont House Gardens in the Kent countryside. It also features my wife, daughter and cocker spaniel...in very wet and windy autumn weather.
Belmont House and Garden is an 18th-century house (designed by Samuel Wyatt) with stunning views over the rolling Kentish North Downs. My drawing is based as you enter the walled garden and features the old potting shed on the right.

After extensive research and testing, I have selected the Hahnemuhle German Etching (310gsm) Fine Paper. A heavy-duty paper with a textured finish, a velvety matt surface, and a warm white hue — I believe it reproduces my drawings superbly.
Each giclee art print features the original drawing, which has undergone a meticulous process to capture the detail with the utmost accuracy paying close attention to the texture, details and ink work.
I have personally remastered each drawing digitally to remove the fold from my 2020 sketchbook to give you the best possible view of the original pen and ink drawing.
My original notebook (#1) was cartridge paper in portrait format resulting in the square format. Each page from this notebook had an array of faint grey dots removed carefully from the art print for a better view of the original drawing.
